16" Resin Chessboard

16x16x.75 inch epoxy resin chessboard and pieces shine with the sparkly silver edge, gold foil flakes, and red mica. The Sculpted Panels™ mdf base is hand painted and resined to get the achieved look. It is then sealed with 2 layers of clear resin. Chesspieces are made from tinted resin to match the chessboard, and have felt on the bottom for easy movement on the board.
 
What to know about epoxy resin: Pieces completed in resin will have a hard glass-like finish and may be cleaned with a soft cloth and water or gentle cleaner. Because it is applied by hand and takes 24 hours to cure to the touch (72 hours to cure and 30 days for a hard cure), it is not uncommon for there to be some very slight imperfections in the resin finish. I like to refer to these imperfections as "personality" and they will not disrupt the integrity or beauty of the finished piece.
Although I use resin with some UV protection, it is still best to place your resin art away from direct sunlight to minimize the natural slight ambering.
It is common for resined pieces to acquire micro scratches with use. These will not harm the art and just part of the nature of epoxy resin.
To clean, use a soft cloth and mild soap and water or glass cleaner.
